Who He Came For

Have you ever heard of a visitor who visited and asked who he came for? Someone in the neighborhood must always have a tip on the visitor’s host.

 We have been told that Jesus Christ came and that He came because He loved, but have you thought of who He came for?

 This article is directed to point out a specific set of persons which Jesus Christ came for, but first we must know that He wouldn’t have been here for no one, which means that He came for someone. Jesus Christ Himself said;

Matthew 9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

This means that He came for sinners.

Who are sinners?
Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

 The sinners are those who are sick and need a physician. Those who have gone against their Creator and need a Saviour. Those who missed the right way and need a director. Those who are drowning and need a lifeline.

Romans 3:10
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”

And so He said;

Luke 5:32
“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

 It is only those who are righteous that don’t need Jesus Christ, but since there’s none righteous; everyone needs Jesus. This means that He came for the whole world.

 Have you accepted Him? He came for you and I .
